The convention was a great success with many people picking up the officially licensed Bruce & Brandon Lee DVDs at an incredible £8.00 each. Many people also bought the great foil postcards and posters provided by The London Postcard Company. These were just two of the many items that were for sale on the two big memorabilia tables. So, for the doubters out there - memorabilia that was for sale was officially licensed,

Mr. Pat Johnson in "The Karate Kid"Many people also managed to get Pat Johnson's autograph, either on a photo or on copies of the two film scripts that Mr. Johnson kindly provided. People who got the signed photo were also given a great set of extremely rare postcards, two of which were unpublished and provided by Mr. Pat Johnson. A full report will appear in the next Dragon Tracks magazine and maybe on the website. With the success of this years convention, next years will be even bigger!

Everyone who attended - Thanks for all of your support and we shall hopefully see you again next year.
Everyone who didn't attend - It's a shame you missed out on a wonderful event and we shall hopefully see you next year.

But for now, just a few comments that we received about the convention:-

-----

"Hi to all at the BBLA, I would like to thank you all for a wonderful day at the 25th November convention. It was excellent! You put a lot of effort into it, which myself as a fan of Brandon & Bruce Lee, I deeply respect your Association for keeping their spirits alive! It was great that Pat Johnson was at the convention to share the times that he had with Bruce and Brandon. It was really special. I have been a member for just over a year now and it is the greatest source of information on Bruce & Brandon Lee around! Thank you so much for making the fans proud! Keep The Faith"

"Just a quick note to sincerely thank you all for a truly wonderful and special day, today at the Convention. It was a fantastic day, and I had a great time. Full respect to Mr Pat Johnson; what a truly genuine, gentle and extremely fascinating man!! It was wonderful to hear his first hand stories regarding Bruce and Brandon.
The Showdown In Little Tokyo original screenplay script and postcard set, along with signed card from Pat that I purchased are a collector's dream!! It was fantastic to have the opportunity to meet and talk to such a superb person. I thought the interview with Will was excellent and only wish that it could have lasted longer !
Thank you all for such an amazing day. Thank you to Pat for taking the time out, and coming all this way to talk to us all. The films shown were an excellent choice; I've never had the opportunity to see them on the big screen before, apart from Dragon.
The spirits of Bruce and Brandon continue to be with us, each and everyday; let's keep their spirits with us, and keep the torch of the Bruce and Brandon Lee legacy burning brighter than ever !! Thanks again, and I can't wait to see you all again soon."

John LittleThe day started with an educational film journey of Bruce Lee's films, martial arts and philosophical career. It touched on how Bruce brought about, and single-handedly introduced the martial arts to the west through the medium of film and his final project "The Game Of Death", which brought all three elements together and would have been Bruce Lee's crowning glory in obtaining his ultimate multi-level film.

It was with great pride that the Film Festival hosted the first European BLEF Symposium, with the exclusive European film premiere of John Little's production of Bruce Lee's final production "The Game Of Death".

John went into very specific detail regarding Bruce Lee's philosophy and "The Game Of Death." Shown first on the day was the original 1965 "Number One Son" black and white screen test, which was shown in it's entirety. Next to be shown was the filmed storyline to "The Game Of Death." This filmed storyline was filmed in Korea by John Little, using some of the local actors to tell the story prior to the Dan Inosanto fight. After that, it was time for the main event - the European premiere of "A Warrior's Journey." For the first time in 28 years, the fans finally got to see "The Game Of Death" how Bruce Lee intended it to be shown.

Once the film was shown, it was time for John to do a small questions and answers session from the audience. The questions were not just limited to "The Game Of Death," but questions were also asked about Bruce's life, martial arts and his philosophy.

John, in return, presented Andrew Staton with one of Bruce Lee's original vaccination certificates. John explained how he came to acquire it, how it had been hung on his wall as he wrote the Tuttle "Bruce Lee Library" books. He also said that he hoped that it would bring Andrew as much inspiration as it had brought him.

John was also on hand to sign any books, magazines, etc that the day's attendees wanted. Books, magazines and videotapes wre also available to buy on the day from one of the BBLA's sponsors, Hayashi. Many fans bought their books on the day thanks to special discounts that were offered by Hayashi.

Once the event was over, the BBLA team and John Little went for a Chinese meal at a local restaurant, where fun definitely endured.
